Word (30 minutes)

Key Scripture
Ruth 2:1-10 (Focus on verses 1-3, 8-10)
"As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelech." - Ruth 2:3

  1. Read Ruth 2:2-3. Ruth made the simple decision to "go to the fields." What does daily obedience look like in your current season of life? What "field" has God called you to right now?
  2. Pastor Jason shared four practical steps for seeing God in the ordinary:
    • Wake up and spend time with God
    • Walk in faithfulness where He's called you
    • Do everything for God's glory
    • Work wisely to connect others to Christ
      • Which of these four is easiest for you? Which is most challenging? Why?
  3. Pastor Jason asked: "Where do you go when things get rough?" Be honest—when life gets hard, what's your first response? Do you turn to God first, or do you turn to friends, Google, your own wisdom, or other sources?
  4. Read Psalm 121:1-2, 2 Chronicles 20:12, and Hebrews 12:2. How do these verses challenge or encourage you in your current circumstances?

Accountability & Prayer (20 minutes)

Pray for each other in these areas:
  • For eyes to see God working in the ordinary moments of life
  • For faithfulness in the "fields" where God has placed us
  • For humility to be amazed by grace again
  • For courage to extend grace across barriers
  • For those in the group facing uncertainty or difficulty
  • For opportunities to invite others to "the table" with Jesus

Weekly Challenge - Personal

Choose one or all of the four daily practices and commit to it this week:
Option 1: Morning Time with God
Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier and spend time in prayer, Scripture, or worship before your day begins.
Option 2: Faithful Where You Are
Identify one area where you've been longing for something different. Commit to being fully present and faithful in that space this week (work, home, school, etc.).
Option 3: Do It for God's Glory
Before each task this week, pause and pray: "God, I do this for Your glory." Notice how this changes your attitude.
Option 4: Connect Others to Christ
Look for one opportunity this week to share your faith story or God's goodness with someone who doesn't know Him.
